We listen, act, and transform!
Terrell has dedicated approximately twenty years to serving underprivileged communities, with a focus on addiction treatment for the past five years. He obtained his M.S. in Management with a Specialization in Strategic Management in 2010 and completed his M.A. in Clinical Addiction Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2021.
Terrell's theoretical orientation strongly aligns with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, particularly Choice Theory/Reality Therapy. His approach emphasizes the importance of nurturing fulfilling relationships and engaging in activities that enhance the likelihood of long-term recovery and well-being. Terrell's decision to work with this population stems from witnessing how addiction can deprive individuals of their hopes, dreams, and happiness.
One of his favorite quotations is, "Once individuals recognize their role in creating their own life predicament, they also realize that they, and only they, have the power to change that situation" by Irvin D. Yalom. In his leisure time, he derives pleasure from spending quality moments with his spouse, family, and his canine companion, Daisy.
